Andreas Kerkezos started playing the violin since his four years and soon after he took up the piano. His first appearances as a soloist (age 7) was with the ensemble of his father playing the Mozart’s concerti in Athens Megaron Concert Hall, Athens State Conservatoire Hall, Florentinersaal, Stefaniensaal, Sala Patria etc. and in all major Festivals in Greece, in Lendwirbel-Austria etc.
As a “young talent” he won a scholarship and he entered for studies at the Athens State Conservatoire. He studied piano with Dimitri Toufexis and violin with Apollon Gramatikopoulos, Anton Sorokov and Priya Mitchell at the University of Graz.
So far he has won Awards and Prizes including the: 2nd Prize at the UNESCO Music Competition and 2nd Prize in the “Maria Cherogiorgou-Sigara Music Competition”.
As a soloist he has collaborated with the Brasov Philharmonic in Romania, Greek Radio Symphony, Athens State Conservatoire Symphony and Greek Youth Symphony. He works with the pianist/composer Christos Papageorgiou, Titos Gouvelis and with the soprano Matina Velimachiti and Vanesa Kalkani in International Festivals. He has attended lessons with Christian Altenburger and Maighread Mc Crann. In 2018 he was invited by the Hellenic Composers Association and recorded his first CD with works by Errikos Vaios.
