The Molyvos International Music Festival, in Lesbos, is known for the passion and energy of its performers. Every summer young musicians, rising stars from different parts of the world, are performing together giving a fresh interpretation to classical music works.
With the same energy, the Festival is travelling to Athens on Saturday, December 15, for a charity event, the proceeds of which will help the projects of “Floga”, the ever active Parents Association of Children with Cancer and the Molyvos International Music Festival. The internationally renowned artists Danae and Kiveli Doerken-piano, Benedict Kloekner-Cello and Klemens de Forsville-violin will offer the audience a thrilling experience where the flame of music meets the flame of power, love and solidarity.
The concert will take place at 20:30, at the Concert Hall of the Hellenic-German Association “Philadelphia” in Maroussi – the oldest active club in Greece founded in 1837. The program will be presented by director and journalist Yiorgos Giannarakos and includes works by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy, R. Schumann, J. Halvorsen and J. Brahms.
