HOW TO COME
The fastest way to arrive to Lesbos is by plane.
The Mytilene International Airport “Odysseas Elytis” (MJT) is situated near the capital.
There are daily flights from Athens(dur. 55m) and Thessaloniki(dur. 50m) to Lesbos .
There are also direct flights from other cities in Greece:
- Brussels, Belgium
- Düsseldorf, Germany
- Munich, Germany
- Vienna, Austria
Occasionally there are charter flights from other European cities like:
- Gatwick – Manchester – Birmingham, England
- Helsinki, Finland
- Copenhagen, Denmark
One can travel to Lesbos Island by taking a ferry.
There are ferries leaving daily from Piraeus (Athens) to Mytilene Harbour. The journey lasts 11 hours and is usually overnight.
Ferries are leaving from Kavala and other Greek islands such as Chios and Limnos. Ferry trips also exist between Lesbos and the cities of Ayvali & Dikili in Turkey.
To arrive from the harbour of Mytilene to Molyvos one can use public transportation, rent a car or hire a taxi.
